Brickhouse+Dairy Queen
For our Second Lunch Bunch we decided to do the Brickhouse and Dairy Queen during lunch B. We choose the Brickhouse and Dairy Queen because they were just far enough where we could easily make it there and back before lunch B started. We then attempted to call Dairy Queen, but unfortunately their freezer had just broken so they were unable to offer us the ice cream cake we wanted. Brickhouse's owner was one of our football coaches so Brody and I got in contact with him via text message. He offered to provide us with wings alongside containers of sauces and carrots. The only issue was that it was difficult to find people willing to pay in lunch B, so we only had about 8 people initially and decided to open it up to anyone in our lunch. We found a few freshmen who where willingly to pay so we brought them up and they ate some more wings. We made 135 dollars.

Mama Nita's and Cake Hole
For our first lunch bunch, we decided to choose restaurants in New Pal and provide lunch for people who were in lunch A. These two locations are probably the only restaurants that are close enough for us to provide food for lunch A. We initially called Mama Nita's as they opened so they turned us down. We then attempted to call Papa Johns, but unfortunately they had already used up all of their donations. We decided to once again call Mama Nita's at a better time and they said they provide us with 6 large pizzas. We then got in contact with Cake Hole and they provided us with cupcakes and cake pops. We then spoke to about ten of our friends in A lunch and they were willing to pay five dollars for the food. The event went super smoothly and the teachers coming into the lounge afterwards even paid for some pizza. We made $60 from this event. |
